5. SELECTION PROCESS

Step 1: Jury Selection

A jury appointed by Gosselin Photo and Video will select ninety (90) finalist photographs from all eligible works received as part of the contest, consisting of forty-five (45) finalist photographs in the Amateur Category and forty-five (45) finalist photographs in the Professional Category.
For each of the two participation levels, nine (9) finalist photographs will be selected in each of the five (5) thematic categories.
Photographs will be evaluated anonymously. Any photograph that does not comply with the themes, eligibility criteria or technical specifications set out in these Official Rules will automatically be disqualified without notice.
The jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

Step 2: Public Voting

The finalist photographs selected by the jury will be displayed in an online gallery accessible to the public. This gallery will be hosted on the official contest page and may also be shared across Gosselin Photo and Video’s various digital platforms and social media channels.
The public vote will be used to determine the recipients of the Amateur Grand Prize and the Professional Grand Prize from among the eligible finalists in each respective category.
Each vote must be cast in accordance with the procedures established by Gosselin Photo and Video. Any attempt at fraud or vote manipulation, as well as any conduct deemed abusive, may result in the disqualification of the photograph concerned, at the Organizer’s sole discretion.

Step 3: Jury’s Choice Grand Prize

From among all finalist photographs, the jury members will also select the recipient of the Jury’s Choice Grand Prize.
This prize will be awarded at the jury members’ discretion and will be based on artistic and creative criteria determined by the jury.
The jury’s decision regarding the Jury’s Choice Grand Prize is final and not subject to appeal.
Notwithstanding the results of the public vote, the final selection of the winners remains subject to validation and approval by Gosselin Photo and Video, whose decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
